About Course
The Law of Contract and Specific Relief course forms the backbone of civil and commercial law education for LLB students. It provides a comprehensive understanding of how agreements are created, enforced, and remedied under Indian law. Students will explore the Indian Contract Act, 1872 (Sections 1–75) and the Specific Relief Act, 1963, gaining clarity on contractual rights, obligations, and remedies.
Through practical examples, landmark judgments, and case-based learning, students will understand the essentials of a valid contract, types of agreements, performance and discharge of contracts, and legal remedies in case of breach. The course also emphasizes equitable reliefs such as injunctions, specific performance, and rectification—essential tools for any aspiring legal professional.
