About Course
Course Objective:
This course aims to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of environmental law, including national and international legal frameworks for environmental protection. It provides insights into environmental jurisprudence, legal remedies, and policy implementation. By exploring key environmental laws, principles, and case studies, students will develop a strong foundation in tackling environmental challenges through legal mechanisms.
Course Outcome:
Upon completing this course, students will be able to:
- Develop a fundamental understanding of environmental issues, their legal implications, and sustainable solutions.
- Apply legal knowledge to environmental concerns and enforce laws through judicial mechanisms.
- Analyze national and international environmental laws, treaties, and conventions.
- Interpret key environmental legislations in India and their role in environmental governance.
- Evaluate the importance of public participation, Public Interest Litigation (PIL), and legal remedies in environmental protection.
- Assess transboundary and global environmental issues through a legal perspective.
